When Good People Lose

I was thinking this weekend about all that has occured within the market on the macro scale with regards to housing and the credit market. There are certain people and corporations who will always fufill their financial obligations and yet there are others who do the exact opposite. They continue to spend on items they know they can't afford and yet they continue to thrive. With this latest credit crunch, are they finally going to learn their lesson?

Debt seems to be the American way. The sad thing is that we seem to be losing our financial footing piece-by-piece. What is stopping the financially responsible people from saying "Screw this, I'm going to leverage all I have and run up all my credit cards and go have fun before the bottom falls out."

My solution? I still like infrastructure plays and I continue to like General Electric because of their eclectic business units, which is why I purchased more last week.
