January 27th 2006....

This is my first blog EVER!!!! I will try and post thoughts on a selected stock or two daily, either positive or negative. I am not a professional, just an individual who has done his own research over the years when it comes to investing in both mutual funds and stocks. I hope to add small tidbits of information to the overall market, however please do your own research prior to taking up a position within a stock or mutual fund mentioned in this blog site. Currently, I have positions within Joy Global (JOYG) and Cal Dive (CDIS). I am currently in the black with JOYG up approximately 6 pts, but in the red with CDIS by 2 pts, due to a late entry point (that's what happens when you try and chase momentum and you don't trust your own research). I can't stress enough the importance of researching your own stocks because in the end it is YOUR CASH on the line. I will try and post again after the market closes.
